In the Media

We believe that regular coverage of inclusive initiatives and success stories can inspire others to take action, while editorials can call for stronger policies that support equal opportunities. By consistently promoting messages of respect, understanding, and unity, the media can become powerful tools in fostering an inclusive and compassionate society.

Local Matters: Library event raises rare disorders profile; April 12, 2023

Glow Up & Show Up for rare disorders event at the Warkworth Library

Raising awareness for Rare Disorders in NZ. It’s not rare to have a rare disorder. In Aotearoa, more than 300,000 people live with one of 7,000 rare disorders - that’s similar to the population of Wellington. Yet they all struggle to get the medical help they need, in our current health system. Families in the area impacted by a rare disorder gathered at midday for a group photo!
